Solarlab solar kits and batteries

Our customers often ask us about products they see on other websites, and we have written about several of them. Leroy Merlin, BricoDepot, Solar360 or Blubat are such examples in Spain. Today we want to have a look at Solarlab, their solar kits and batteries.

Who is Solarlab?

Solarlab is a company based in Madrid that was founded by two European entrepreneurs in 2020. They offer a range of solar power solutions and products, incl. solar kits, batteries and rooftop installations. The company also sells its products on various other platforms, like on leroymerlin.com, bricodepot.com etc.

Are Solarlab kits and batteries a good option?

We will focus on Solarlab’s solar kits and batteries, as these are the products we’re specialized in. Solarlab sells Zendure batteries like we do, and we collaborate with Solarlab for this product. As for the solar kits, Solarlab uses flexible 210 Wp panels for their kits that come with 2 or 4 panels, very similar to those sold in Germany by Pluginenergy or in Spain by Solar360. Solarlab’s 25 year warranty is a sign of quality. Solarlab’s panels measure 110 x 108 cm, weigh 4.5 kg and are completely black. At Robinsun, we have tested similar panels, and ultimately opted for the ones we use in our Robinsun Light kits since we feel they fit better on European standard balcony railings.

We also know the Hoymiles micro inverters used by Solarlab, since we have tested them extensively, before deciding to work with Tsun for our kits, since their micro inverters are of at least comparable quality and have a direct WiFi connectivity built in as a differentiator.

Solarlab plug & play kits come with cables and accessories necessary for installation, making it easy and convenient.

As for the batteries Solarlab sells, they are the same we have at Robinsun.

Conclusions

Solalab is a good option for balcony solar kits and batteries. Of course we think our kits at Robinsun have advantages, but compared to other players in the Spanish market Solarlab is definitely a better option to choose.
